Pat Sharp, the British television host who rose to fame as presenter of kids show 'Fun House', parachutes into the jungle on tonight's episode of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here' (15th November 2011). Sharp and X-Factor mentor Sinitta are the latest additions to the camp, with uncertainty surrounding Freddie Starr's future on the show, according to the UK's Sun newspaper.
43-year-old Sinitta had already been scheduled to join the ten celebrities, but had a last minute change of heart. However, the former girlfriend of Simon Cowell appears to have been talked around and will now join the rest of the contestants, including Crissie Rock and Willie Carson. Sharp was originally on stand-by, but was flown to Australia following the hospitalisation of comedian Starr, who has been undergoing tests after winning a bushtucker trial on Monday (14th November 2011). The Liverpool entertainer defeated The Only Way is Essex's Mark Wright in the infamous eating competition, where celebs are forced to eat a variety of unsavoury meals such as fermented egg, mealworms and turkey testicles, but he complained of feeling light-headed afterwards. Devouring critters appears to be the last of Sinitta's worries though - the singer said she is worried about how she will look without makeup on, saying, "I've never been on TV without hair and make-up.And the Bushtucker Trials look hideous. Sometimes I can't even watch them on TV".
Although known to many for his 1980's mullet haircut and helming of cult television show 'Fun House', Pat Sharp has won numerous awards for his radio work including a Sony Award for Best DJ in 1992. In December 2010, he joined Smooth Radio to host the 'Weekend Breakfast' slot.
